A Natural, Objective Approach to Family Planning and Reproductive Health
Marquette Method
Marquette Method is a sympto-hormonal Natural Family Planning method that measures female urinary hormones in conjunction with evidence-based algorithms to offer a more objective approach to family planning and reproductive health. Clients have the option of incorporating additional fertility indicators, such as cervical mucus, basal body temperature and progesterone testing to tailor to their fertility needs.
Effective
In a recent study of the Marquette Method protocol using the fertility monitor, the efficacy for avoiding pregnancy was over 98% (Fehring & Schneider, 2017).
Adaptable
Taught by trained healthcare professionals, Marquette University’s Institute for Natural Family Planning provides evidence-based protocols for a variety of special circumstances, including irregular cycles, postpartum, breastfeeding, and peri-menopausal algorithms. With the help of an instructor, women and couples can tailor the method to their season in life.
Beneficial
Women using the Marquette Method are not at risk for adverse effects related to hormonal contraception or implants. Additonally, couples using natural family planning methods boast increased intimacy and sexual drive, increased body literacy, increased self-mastery and generosity.
